express my feeling of Japanese when I went to Japan

 On last summer vacation, I and my friend, Hoihyeon made the plan to go to Japan for 6 days. I had been Hotkaido, Japan, but I couldn't enjoy the trip because it was a package tour with my mother's relatives(My mother's sister and brother). And I like to make a plan for travelling so I was very excited. It was the first overseas trip which I planed by myself. Because many people visit Kansai most in Japan, we chose there. We could have met many kinds of people. I will introduce two kinds Japaneses I met during Japan trip.

When I went to Kosien, the famous baseball stadium, we visited Kosien museum. And We met a woman attendant. She explained passionately about high school baseball league in Japan. I thought that she loved baseball a lot. And she said she chose her job because she loved Japanese baseball and she wanted to let the visitors know about it. I don't think that we can't choose a job for our interest only, so I respect her passion.

And when I went the temple in Nara (I can't  remember the name;), we met an old Japanese guide. He was holding paper written "Free Korean guide". We asked him to guide us around the temple. We thought he was Korean, but he was Japanese. He studied Korean to let the visitors know about the temple, too. He said that he studied Korean hard because he wanted to inform Korean visitors their tradition.  His Korean was not perfect, but his passion is very great. So I decided that when I'm old, I will inform foreigners of our tradition.

I gained many experience during Kansai trip. I think that there are many kinds of people
in the world. I will go to Europe in summer vacation, so I'm looking forward to meeting people.

Nuclear power generation

We use electricity for a lot of things like lights, home appliances, machines of factory, communication equipment…..We produce this electricity from thermal power, nuclear power and new & recycle power mostly. Among these ways, in Korea, nuclear power generation accounts for nearly 33 percent of the electricity generation. In other words, nuclear power generation is very important for our living. Then I will talk about strengths of nuclear power generation.

1. Uranium, the fuel of nuclear power generation, is buried all over the world. So we don't have to worry about oil shock or energy weaponization a lot.

2. Nuclear is eco-friendly energy. CO2 is one of the hot issue all over the world. 

According to this picture, coal and oil which we use most emit CO2 most. On the contrary to this, nuclear emits little CO2. Even this occurs when nuclear power plant is being built. (No CO2 is emitted during nuclear power generating)

3. Nuclear is one of items for export. Korea already contracted with UAE, Turkey. And Jordan and India consider asking to build nuclear power plant to Korea. 

Except this, there are many stregnths of nuclear power generation. For example, nuclear is economical power (by using a little of fuel, we can produce a lot of energy), and so on. 

Of course, we have many problem for nuclear safety. But our researchers are studying hard to solve them. I can't assure that nuclear is safe, but we cannot help using nuclear power because thermal power generation emits a lot CO2 and it needs fossil fuel or oil. Also, new regeneration energy is unstable and more inefficient than nuclear.

Hi, I'm Bokyung Kim. I'm in Seoul, South Korea.

I'm a university student, major in nuclear engineering at Hanyang University.

My hobby is watching dramas. I saw the drama "My love from the star" which Kim Soohyeon and Jeon Jihyun, the most famous stars in Korea, appeared. The drama is popular in not only Korea but China. The story is about love of a top actress and an alien who is perfect. Most Korean dramas have love story, but this drama have more special than others.  There is a special bad guy. He is a psyco and he made viewer horrible.
And I like boy groups, especially Bigbang which is the best boy group in Korea. I think Bigbang's music represents Korea. It is famous in the world. They won prize at global music award.







Also, I like traveling with friends. There are many good place in Korea. You know Gangnam, maybe. But Gangnam is not good place for you to know about Korean trandition. I recommend Jeju island if you like walking and sea. I went to Jeju in winter, and when I saw sea of Jeju, I felt peaceful. In Jeju, you can ride a pony at a reasonable price and eat Hanrabong(special oranges of Jeju) and meat of black pig (very delicious). Also you can walk through "Olleh road" modeled Camino de Santiago.






My major is nuclear engineering, and I'm proud with my major because Korea is in top 5 of nuclear industry. Korea has very nice technologies a lot. Our researchers are very smart and they work hard for development of safe plants. I'm doing internship in the laboratory, and I feel our researchers are great. I want to be a good researcher, too.
